Each overseas branch office serves as a base supporting operational needs for our fleets. Not merely as a docking base, the establishment of our branch office has provided many career opportunities locally and has driven other industries to flourish, too.
Gilontas' operation could be categorized into fields as follow:
Fishing Vessel Operation |
Gilontas owns more than 100 FRP boats with tonnage ranging between 80, 100 and 200 tons. Our fleet comprises of Long liners, Squid Fishing Boats and Carriers; these boats currently scatter around Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans performing their designated duties. Managements and maneuvers of these boats are coordinated by our overseas branch offices.
Investment and Infrastructure |
In order to cater for operational needs, our overseas branch offices have invested on facilities such as HACCP certified processing plants and cold storage units. The investments on these infrastructures have consequently made employments available for local communities.
Sales and Export |
At the moment Gilontas exports majority of its fresh tuna to markets in Japan and U.S.A. Our quality fresh tuna has earned a sound reputation in main fresh tuna markets. And with the unique logo labeling on our fish the markets now regard the logo as an indication of good quality.

Expansion of Fishing Fleets |
Along with the cooperation from United Boat Design Center in 2001, Gilontas had developed the first model of 200 tons FRP long liners in Taiwan. Despite the efforts to maintain our current operations, we continuously increase the number of our boats, and explore different styles of fishing boats aiming to better suit various fishing grounds.

Development of New Bases Promotes Industrial Activity Locally |
Gilontas now leads its massive team striving amongst global oceans, searching for new fishing grounds and venturing new bases overseas. Wherever it goes the local communities and industries always benefit from the opportunities come along with Gilontas' settlements. We firmly believe that relentless efforts would ensure the success of the company and cultivate a sustainable development for our ventures.
